After-School Clubs (3:15 – 5:30 PM)

Angelus Academy is pleased to offer after-school clubs to all K-8th grade students! The following list is a sample of the types of clubs that are offered each school year. Please see our information and registration packet on SchoolSpeak for the most up-to-date offerings. Registration is done on a trimester basis.

Arts & Crafts

Do you enjoy building with Keva Blocks or Legos^® and making amazing creations—buildings, vehicles, or even whole cities? Let your imagination run wild when you join the Builders Club!

Chess 

While we will focus specifically on the play and strategies of chess, students will also be able to learn and explore other strategic games, like backgammon, checkers, & Othello. Playing these games can boost children’s creative & cognitive abilities and provide camaraderie & fun!

Drama Club

Have you ever wanted to be a giant? A firefighter? A robot? Or a puppy? Or a giant, robotic, firefighting puppy?  Put on short skits based on stories or whatever you can think up. If you have a great imagination, this is a club for you!

Games 

Do you enjoy playing board games and card games? Learn how to play some new games and increase your thinking and strategic skills while having fun. Acquire important skills like taking turns, following directions, and being gracious whether you win or lose.

Gardening 

Do you like getting your hands dirty and watching things grow? We’ll learn about both indoor and outdoor gardening, flowering plants as well as fruits and vegetables, and we will even try our hand at growing plants of our own.

Playground Fun 

Are you interested in some extra physical education activities? Participate in indoor and outdoor games and activities to enhance your physical fitness, coordination, and sportsmanship.

General Guidelines

• A snack will be provided during club time.
• Payments are due on the first day of the week of attendance.
• The program does not operate on half days, when school is not in session, or if school closes early due to inclement weather.
• There will be no credits for missed clubs attendance. (School administrators will address issues of extended absence on an individual basis.)
• A $25 per childregistration fee is charged to cover program supplies.
• A late pick-up fee of $25.00 for every 15 minutes past 5:30 p.m., and $40.00 for every 15 minutes past 6:00 P.M. will be charged for late pick-up of a child (or past 4:30/5:00 for those enrolled in the early pickup option).
