Shopping for Angelus Academy

Here are some great ways to support our school, which can be easily incorporated into your weekly shopping and dining out. The greater participation we have, the greater the benefit, and every person can help!

SCRIP

The Scrip gift card program allows Angelus Academy to benefit from your everyday shopping! By paying with a retailer gift card purchased from Scrip instead of using cash, check, or a credit card, you help earn money for Angelus. There is no extra charge to you; the retailers, through the Scrip program, donate a percentage of the value of each gift card you purchase to our school. The order form for purchasing gift cards is sent home with the students in their blue folder and you may also purchase electronic gift cards to use for online shopping. Creating an online account is easy. View detailed instructions and Angelus Academy’s enrollment code. During the 2016-2017 school year, Angelus earned $3,087.77 through Scrip – and that was with only 42 families participating. Just imagine how much our school could earn if we could get 100% participation!

GoodSearch and Goodshop

If you use Goodsearch as your search engine, you can earn money for Angelus every time you do an Internet search. All you have to do is register, and enter Angelus Academy as the organization you wish to support. (Consider making Goodsearch your homepage so that you remember to start all your searches there.) The Goodsearch website also offers promotional coupons for you and monetary donations to our school through its Goodshop program. Whenever you shop online, just enter the store’s website through the Goodshop. A percentage of your purchase price will be donated to the school. Ask friends and family anywhere in the world to use GoodSearch to benefit Angelus Academy. It is an easy way to give!

Shopping Bonus Cards

If you grocery shop at Giant or FoodLion, you probably already use a store rewards or bonus card to save yourself money on many purchases. But if you go online and register your card, you can also earn money for Angelus every time you shop. You will not be charged anything extra, but the school will benefit.

• Amazon Smile if you shop at Amazon, consider shopping on AmazonSmile instead. After you have selected Angelus Academy as your favorite organization, a percentage of your purchase will be donated to our school.

Donations for the Gala

You can help make the annual Angelus Academy Gala successful, and you can do it without spending anything yourself by requesting a donation from a local business! Many businesses (especially in this area) are accustomed to receiving requests for charity auctions and may have a standard contribution that they make. They are also more likely to make the donation to a person who already patronizes their business.

So the next time you go out to eat at your favorite restaurant, tell them that your child attends Angelus Academy, and ask them if they could contribute a gift card for our fundraising auction. All kinds of gift cards are good to have—nail salons and auto mechanics, ice cream shops and museums. Asking for a donated item is a great way to provide money for Angelus without spending any of your own, and the more people who ask for donations, the more successful our Gala will be.

Box Tops for Education Labels

Sometimes the labels are on the box top, and sometimes they are on the bottom—and some are even on the labels of bottles, cans, and packages—but they are all worth 10 cents! That may not seem like much, but it only takes a few seconds to cut off the little coupon—just about as long as it would take to pick a dime up off the ground. And the money quickly adds up.

If you grocery shop at Safeway, you can also collect “eBoxTops” for Angelus Academy! To get started all you need to do is:

1. Register online.
2. Enroll online with Box Tops for Education, and select Angelus Academy to link with your Safeway card.
3. Begin purchasing participating items with Box Tops for Education labels at a local Safeway store.

Printer/Copier Toner Recycling

Send or bring in any empty ink jet or laser printer cartridge from your home or business. Or ask nearby businesses if you can pick up their used printer or photocopier cartridges. Angelus Academy recycles them and earns money for each cartridge.
