The Holy Spirit helps us in spiritual warfare and humbles himself down to a small voice inside ourselves called our conscience.
– David, 5th grade
The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit gives you fortitude and grace. He protects and loves us because He is God.
– Susan, 7th grade
The Holy Spirit is part of the Holy Trinity, which is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can also be called the “Comforter” or the “Advocate.” The Holy Spirit can help us to become stronger and more confident in our faith. The Holy Spirit can also be seen as God’s active force on earth, working to transform creation. The Holy Spirit helps me to deepen my faith as I move forward and receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
– Caroline, 8th grade

The Holy Spirit is one of the three persons of the Holy Trinity (the others being God the Father and Jesus). The Holy Spirit helps us grow spiritually and strengthens our soul. The Holy Spirit also gives us gifts that we receive at Baptism and are strengthened by Confirmation. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are wisdom, knowledge, counsel, fortitude, understanding, piety, and fear of the Lord. Just as the Holy Spirit inspired the apostles on Pentecost, the Holy Spirit inspires us to preach the Word of God and to follow his commandments.
– Lorenzo, 8th grade
The Holy Spirit is always beside us, in us, and with us.
– George, 1th grade
The Holy Spirit is like the wind—you can’t see him, but you can feel him and see the things he does. He is part of the Holy Trinity and is the love between the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is that little nudge to do good. You should really listen to him.

Feast of the Archangels
Dear Friend of Angelus Academy,
Six years ago, we took our initial steps in becoming a classical liberal-arts K-8 school. We were the first school in the United States to pilot the (now known as) St. Patrick Curriculum, which features integrated content, skill development, and pedagogy. More importantly, at each grade level, our students learn about a “chapter” in the unfolding story of Salvation History—God’s constant and active involvement in the world from creation to present, played out in the historical figures, saints, and events of each time period.
Using a curriculum that has God, the Lord of History, at its center allows our students to more easily discover and delight in the true, the good, and the beautiful. Moreover, it provides a means for them to encounter real “virtue in action” as they study—and marvel at—the heroic deeds of those who have come before them. Gradually, they begin to better understand their place in Salvation History and that God has a plan for their own personal story of salvation, as He prepares them for high school and Heaven.
This school year, as our students reflect more deeply on the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit during our Morning Chapel time (and beyond), we pray that they may be further fortified in grace and enlightened in wisdom. Our world desperately needs the truth of Christ and His Holy Church to bring hope, joy, and peace. We have faith that our graduates will “set the world on fire” (St. Catherine of Siena) with their love for Jesus as they discern and respond to His call in their lives and share their unique gifts with others.
As an independent Catholic school, we receive no financial support from the Diocese of Arlington. We are entirely dependent upon tuition—which only partially covers the cost of educating each student—and donations from our generous benefactors like you in order to meet our operating expenses and to keep our tuition more affordable for school families.
Please join us as a messenger of hope and help us raise $90,000 for our school. Together let us help ensure that the next generation knows what truly matters: the sanctity of life, moral courage, loyalty to family and the Church, love of country, and sacrificial compassion for those who suffer.
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.
May the Lord bless you abundantly for your prayers and generous gift to Angelus Academy!
Gratefully,
Raymond St. Pierre, M.Ed.
